Kuublu beams with pride.

"Unfortunately I have yet to settle down to raise a family. But I have enjoyed the benefits of youth and the company of unwed ladies. I must say the world has been abundant, a joy to all!"

Kuublu does not seem to notice or respond to any sadness or negativity. Which we will test in the adventures to come.

Ammu looks at Kuublu with sudden seriousness and strange curiosity but says no more.

Kuublu thanks the merchant for his gift. He will ask for his name so that he can return the favour when they meet in the future.

Kuublu gestures to his now found friend to drink first, then his Donkey. When he gets around to it he'll use a lot of water for cleansing as well as quenching his thirst.

I take care to ensure the water is fresh and clean before drinking my fill.

"I've seen my share of bad water on my travels, son" I say to Kuublu as I inspect the water. "The last thing we need is runny belly!"

Kubluu, with his javelin in one hand goes to his Donkey to see where it is looking.

"Smell something?"

The other groups begin to get organised and move out, most are heading back the way Kuublu came having already done a seasons trading at Iintombi Intlambo, the rug merchants indicated that Kuublu should keep the rug as a gift.

" I am Morial Mouko, most esteemed one.", he smiled as Kuublu thanked him. Ammu and Kuublu exited the kraal with the donkey and the rest of their belongings and turned down the road towards Iintombi Intlambo..... In the early afternoon, the cooling wind died and the sun began to wear upon them as they walked, there was a well and trough over to the side of the road and they headed to it to quench their thirst.

"The last thing we need is runny belly!" The water appears to be fresh and clear and quite cool, probably originating somewhere in the mountains to the north. Ammu drinks his fill and then Kuublu bails out some water into the trough for the donkey. The animal is drinking when all of a sudden it stops and throws its head back and begins braying loudly with its ears up and tail raised. Something has spooked the animal but as the men look around they cannot immediately identify the source of its fear....
