Not wanting to ruin this opportunity to find his way into the elder's hall (where there may be some unloved valueables), Mthunzi keeps his mouth shut and does his best to give the impression that he is part of Kuublu and Ammu's party.

The old men lead the three inside, one of them frowns at Mthunzi but as Kuublu seems to have included him he says nothing.

The men indicated that the three should sit.

" We do not get many esteemed visitors. Please tell us of your travels and news from the west."

Kubluu sobers himself up. "I was drilling my men when I was notified of the good news, the birth of a child by my second son. I am travelling to Iintombi Intlambo to celebrate this new addition to the family and join up with Ammu and Mthunzi. It is fortunate that Ammu and I were able to dispatch some rabid Hyenas that may have troubled other travellers. We left their carcasses to dry in the sun. I hope someone can burn them before other scavengers are infected. I had no means to bury them."

OOC: Please note that if this was a face-to-face game session, I'd be mercilessly ribbing Kharille right now because he was busy "drilling his men". I hope my restraint in not exploiting the adolescent comedic potential of this double entendre is appreciated :P

OOC: It's not often I laugh out loud when reading something on a forum...

OOC: Well, he does carry a dagger symbolizing extreme masculinity and authority. It was edited out of the character sheet what the actual components were.

" We will send word west with those departing to do so.", one of the old men got up and went outside to talk with a departing group.

" It is good to have ones familys fortunes increase. The festivities outside are a celebration of a sort; Gbekre, the guardian of the dead is honoured among my people and his dance scares away the evil shades and hungry ghosts."

" Also it scares the women and children.",
he chuckles. " Gbekre is a great male baboon who guards and watches over the lands of the dead, his spirit is in the blood of our people and we are greatly blessed by him."

" From where come your household, Great Kuublu? "

"My ancesters were descended from a nation of warriors. We have defended out homeland for many generations and are noted for our quick movement across all terrain. We are thankful that Great Chief (King) Oublu reigns over the lands and it has been a time of peace. He has settled hostilities from neighbouring Great tribes (Kingdoms) and has extended the ideals of virtue, protection of the people and the peoples love of the great tribe (Tax). Such will it be for many more generations to come!"
