Oh great, lets lift their weapons whilst they're drunk. That'll make them decide quicker.
Based on Mthunzi's earlier scouting, the Company in the forest knows the disposition of Malim's men as:
2x guards at Jungle Gate (bridge over river; where Aku entered)
4x guards at Trade Gate
4x guards on roving patrol in pairs
6x men in longhouse
Actual disposition Aku observes:
(GM can we say that Mthunzi and the Company took advantage of the daylight hours to keep observing the enemy, hence they know some if not all of this info too?)
2x guards at Trade Gate (guessed, not actually seen)
2x guards at Jungle Gate
2x guards at longhouse entrance
2x guards sleeping inside longhouse
8x guard sleeping in upper room
Malim sleeping in upper room
The Company has 8 men:
Warriors: Kubluu, Pulgil, Mthunzi, Olmar, 2x volunteer warriors
Wisemen: Ammu, Chiemeka
My humble suggestion is:
1. split into 2 groups of 4,
2. quietly take out the guards at the gates,
3. meet together at the longhouse,
4. quietly take out the guards at entrance,
5. make contact with Kgosinela and get the old woman (Kgosinela's trusted servant) to create a distraction (can consider setting a fire somewhere near longhouse using dried branches and leaves, then yell "Fire! Douse the flames!") to draw Malim and gang to rush out,
6. Company ambushes Malim and his men as they rush out.
Except for Mthunzi who is skilled at sneaking, it's probably better for the rest of us to create some noise and draw the guards into an ambush.
To avoid too much bloodshed (so that after the fight things can more easily be resolved without excessive bad memories or even bitterness and fear created), can try to knock out and tie up, instead of drawing blood and killing. However it is harder to do so. Kubluu's call here.
