Pulgil has also drunk and will pass through. If she is last, she will fill the bowl and bring it through with her as well.

Kuublu hesitates, and then remembers his role and advances....

Machete at the ready, all senses alert for danger, Ak'kulula moves forward at Kubluu's elbow.

Chiemeka falls into step behind Kuublu and Ak, keeping a concerned eye on the Prince as they move forward.

Moving on along the corridor carefully, before long you come to a short flight of steps. At the bottom you see a stone quay beside the rushing black waters.

A rickety plank bridge leads across to another quay on the far side. A figure of white-coloured stone stands between the steps and the bridge. It looks like a statue emerging from the ground—the upper torso, forelegs and head are a perfectly sculpted rendition of a great lion, but the lower body is below ground...or possibly non existant. With a harsh grating noise it slowly flexes its massive sinews and stretches its paws. Its long hooked claws are knives of stone.

Kuublu walks over and introduces himself. He'll use a short introduction which still describes his heritage and origins, and takes about 1 minute.

Ak'kulula stands where he is and looks on grimly, too polite and respectful to interrupt his liege's enthusiastic introduction, but there is no doubt in his mind this is as fruitful a gesture as talking to the stone wall.

His quick eyes survey the statue, noting its reach, as well as the available space around it.

OOC - Is there enough space around the statue to circumvent it while keeping out of its reach?

Kuublu quiets his treacherous heart as fear threatens to overtake him again, he begins his introduction but is forced to step back suddenly as the statues left paw rakes through the air where he was standing moments earlier.

The companions note that the span of its limbs covers the entirety of the chamber past the midway point, you don't believe it could reach you once you get to the bridge....but getting there could be challenging.

OOC: 08:02, Today: Damian May, for the NPC Kuublu, rolled 42 using 1d100.

"Seems like it can't talk."

OOC:

Kuublu tells the others, perhaps we can get past it by distraction. If Kuublu can dance to the left, someone might be able to dart through to the right. Ah, if only we had a sapper, we could dig our way past...

Ak'kulula absently fingers the golden feathered circlet on his head.

OOC - I guess the circlet doesn't enhance his sight and reveal anything special does it?

He turns to look at Chiemeka. "Revered Sir. Was there not a staff of great power we picked up earlier? One end wet and cool like the spring rain, and the other warm like the noon sun?"

He gestures towards the living statue, its stone claws grinding this way and that. "Mayhap it is the key for this puzzle?"
