Having paid his respects Kuublu moved over towards the casket of gold.

Finding no hint of trap on its exterior he lifted the heavy lid of the casket and looked within:

Laying within the golden casket were a silver and ebony circlet studded with moonstones, a handful of fonio grains, a simple iron ploughshare, a wooden carving of Nyami and a large bundle of leather scrolls still supple and pliant.

Kuublu suddenly feels anxious about how to share this loot.

OOC: Kuublu Circlet with moonstones, plowshare, grains
Chiemeka Scrolls
Pulgil Kuublus gold sceptre
Ak' Kuublus gold clasp
Etwa Wooden carving of Nyami

I'm removing those items from my possession, you guys mark your stuff on your character sheet. Anyone has an issue, lets slug it out.

Chiemeka carefully unrolls the scrolls to see if they are in any language he understands.

As the learned shaman ran his eyes over the smooth leather he began to pick up symbols and realised that this was written in a language of great antiquity...but with some similarities to a number of the local dialects and the language of Wagadou.

It seemed to be a record of laws and rulings and principles...and one he could find little fault with.

Chiemeka offers the scrolls to Kuublu.

"Your Highness, these scrolls contain ancient teachings about the rule of law. I think they will be of more value to you and your family than to a travelling healer."

Kuublu accepts graciously.

"I do not forget the beverage you gave me, that strengthened my will for the dangers ahead. Without it I am not sure we could proceed, and that the outcome of our earlier adventure would have reached such a satisfactory outcome. Please take my donkey (the one we found under the cliff) as payment. The Kingdom will value these scrolls much more, and the kingdom will benefit as a whole."

OOC: Marking on sheet... add that donkey to your character sheet.

Etwa took the wooden carving from Kuublu with reverence as he did not take his eyes from the slumbering Queen.

As he listened to Chiemeka he suddenly smiled, " Ah! Of course! The true treasures of her kingdom."

He pointed to the circlet, " The ruler."

" The ploughshare is the people, the grain the land, the scrolls the law and this carving is the faith."

" Without all five a kingdom will not stand long."

Pulgil took the sceptre into her hands and nodded to Kuublu, " I am the daughter of a chieftain. If I ever make it home it will be a fitting gift for father.", she rubbed her ankle and winced a little.

Ak'ululu took the clasp with a somewhat embarrassed expression, " I am sorry I did not aid in your victory. I was too far away."

The companions looked around the chamber again and finally Etwa spoke, " Shall we return above and leave her to her rest?"

"I fear to wake her would signal the end of times. The land has been at peace, and we hope that it will stay this way. But I fear that her tomb may be disturbed. Remember to make your sacrifice, we must return, and perhaps we should not speak of this until the time is right."

As Kuublu finished speaking all of the companions felt a wave of lethargy pass over them and they tumbled into unconciousness.

Waking came slowly, and when it did they were surrounded by green and the sun was directly overhead....Etwa roused and stood up.

" This is the clearing where we entered the tomb......but the entrance is not here...."
