" Ok, everyone back off.", Kuublu prepares to move or open the stone coffer. "Hide behind a shield if you have one."

Chiemeka lays down his staff and takes his shield off his back. Covering as much of his head and body as he can, he keeps the lantern held high for Kuublu.

Ak'kulula takes up his machete and remains behind the Prince. He does not move too far away however, but remains close enough to help in case something nasty leaps from the coffer.

OOC - Ak'kulula casts Might...and fatigues on the 1st spell AGAIN!!!
Psychic Fatigue check: 1d20 17

Kuublu checked then lifted the stone lid of the coffer which released a metal catch underneath it and shattered a clay vessel within. A cloud of greenish vapour enveloped Kuublu.

He tried to cover his mouth and nose in time but failed....

Kuublu- Where the vapour touched his skin Kuublu saw the skin begin to decay and turn green, sloughing off in sheets exposing muscle and bone....

Everyone else- The vapour disapated from around Kuublu and he appeared unaffected by whatever it was, then you all note him staring in horror at his hands and torso...though your not sure why...

OOC: Kuublu, rolled 12 using 1d20. Ref check.

"Bad medicine! Tell the Great Chief how I died!"

Kuublu turns, drops his Javelin, kneels with his hands raised before his hands, eyes wide.

"End it! Pierce my heart! I go join my ancestors, the heavenly wind will carry me!"

Ak'kulula's eyes widen as he backs off quickly from the greenish cloud enveloping Kubluu. As the vapors dissipate, he watches the Prince and his response for a moment.

"Hallucinatory vapors... Hold his arms. Don't let him hurt himself!"

Reaching back, the boy retrieves his waterskin, unstoppers it, and casts a splash of water over the Prince's face.

"Wake up Sir! You are fine! Just mindtricks!"

Pulgil, standing in the doorway lowers and levels her spear just in case Kuublu knows what he is talking about and is right to answer. But will definitely not be acting to thrust unless there seems to be no option.

"Kuublu! Tell us what you are thinking. Tell us what you are seeing. Let us work out what else can be done to help you!"

Kuublu raises his javelin arm which he used to shield himself, he grimaces and turns his head away as the substance eats into him…

"For a Warrior! I cannot even kill myself!!! End it! Bad medicine!"

Ak'kulula turns to Chiemeka and whispers in the man's ear.
"What do you think Revered One? Would an illusion hide another illusion?"

"An interesting thought. I fear that the delusion is too deep in his mind to be affected by any images we could produce. But if you have an idea that you think might work, I suggest you try."
