The trio left the gate area and turned right following the white stone path until they came to the wider path heading into the interior of the valley.

As the trio walk they see of to the right of the path a curious stone plinth. Through the net of slick vines that cover it, you see that it is an ancient statue possibly of a lion.

The statue appears to be about 3 foot high and badly weathered with smoothed over features from water erosion, there is a cavity within the roaring mouth of the stone beast, there appears to be something small within at the rear of the space.

It appears to be a small amulet set with a yellowish crystal.

Kuublu easily knocks the small item from the lions jaws, lying on the wet ground can be seen a small brass stylised sun with a central crystalline stone of yellowish hue.
