Kuublu asks Orifye to speak in private, out of earshot of the others. He will recount the entire incident and show Orifye the note. He will remind Orifye that an internal war will harm many innocents, and that Kuublu wishes to know where he stands on this.

Depending on Orifye's response, Kuublu will either make a request or consider drawing his Assegai.

Uruka emptied the contents of his satchel onto the wooden benchtop and the merchants eyes sparkled.

" These are ancient....I can only give you the value as I see it...someone who knew their provenance might offer more...I know not."

He offers the following:
A golden circlet. ( 25 gold ingots )
Two golden wristbands. ( 3.5 gold ingots each)
A gold ring. ( 3 gold ingots )
An emerald set in a golden beetle brooch. ( 17 gold ingots )
A gold clasp in the shape of an antelopes head. ( 3 gold ingots )

OOC: Which is everything from the burial mound I believe as none of it has been shared out.

Orifye looks deeply troubled, " Buzwe was always hungry for power and resentful of this posting...but I did not think he would go this far. But now that it is done what would you do to settle it?"

"The key is to notify my father. He can assign troops to discourage any movements and to send messengers. With some troop movements and well phrased messages I doubt those other Chiefs will make a move. With Buzwe gone, they are unlikely to be so bold."

"I must reach the capital, and if you can minimize correspondence to the others that would be beneficial. Those concerned may be reassigned, or 'promoted' where they cannot cause any more impact."

"Perhaps if you could assist Malim in temporary governing this place, then I can focus on returning to the capital."

Not expecting to see anything as he has already inspected them before, he finds to no surprise that there is no enchantment on the items.

Orifye nodded, and turned to Malim, " Forgive me, I did not know that you were a titled man or I would have addressed you before. You have experience managing men and governing trading towns?"

Malim still looked dumbstruck by the turn around in his luck, " A little.....Prince Kuublu has....guided me in how I can improve on my past positions."

Orifye frowned a little but clapped Malim respectfully on the arm, " Then together we will do this."

Orifye turned back to Kuublu, " Of course the only offical correspondence will be through Buz....uh, Malims office. I have little control over the mens personal correspondence but they are mostly boys I doubt they knew anything....Buzwe kept his mercenary bodyguards closer than he kept the men."

" Speaking of the men....we have three bodies here....what do we tell them befell Buzwe and the mercenaries?"

"The death of a chief is not something that we can conceal for long. Ideally we can delay this. However I do not wish their families to grieve and miss the optimal time to mourn. If you can send representatives to their families and we shall follow the correct ceremonies. Bearing in mind the nature of his crime, and how he tried to run, I had to do what I did. It was a mistake that I did not restrain him but I granted him his dignity as a noble."

"Orifye, please protect Malim. When I reach the capital I will request for more men to secure the area, I expect they will take up strategic positions to discourage any rebellion."

"Malim, perhaps this was guided by the gods. It amazes me how things fall in place, but remember to keep your guard up. Man has free will and the gods and spirits can only give guidance."

Kuublu requests for some supplies to keep them going. He'll need the best pace, so if that means dropping the oxen... Maybe we can give that to Malim for expenses.

Uruka returns with the gold from sale of the items and shares the gold with the rest. Before that he will see if the items of the ex governor and his man has magical properties and sell them.
