Dragon Warriors

Heading over to the semi-collapsed stairway that leads down beneath the fortress, the companions glance back towards the towering tree with its intricate carvings and mysterious occupant.

Descending the stairs the darkness is complete and light is needed, in the shadows ahead can be seen a junction, stone lined corridors leading left, right and onward.

Kuublu passes a lit lantern to Chastu as he advances. Looking left and right, he briefly looks down left and right corridors. If he can't see anything of note, he will proceed straight ahead.

As always, Chiemeka will follow behind Kuublu...

UrukA advances. As usual he is alert to any danger and at first sign of a fight, he will cast his signature spell and advance to fight.

Chastu follows on with the light in one hand, his shortsword in the other. There'll be danger in this place.

When Kuublu looks left and right he sees two closed hardwood doors, continuing on he enters a chamber. The room has a wooden table in its centre and the rest of the room is lined with warped and mouldering wooden bins.

Crumbling yellow bones fill the bins here, each box sorted to contain bones of the same sort: skulls in this one, femurs in the other, boxes of delicate phalanges. A clay jar sealed with brittle wax is on the table.

There is a door to the left, one in the right far corner and a passageway continues on.

Jafari follows along at the back spear and shield at the ready he pauses at the hard wood doors and puts an ear to one listens for a moment then does the same to the other.

There is no sound from either.

Chiemeka stares aghast at the carefully sorted bones.

"This is an evil place and may be haunted by more spirits of the dead. We must tread carefully."

"Strange practices, bad medicine.... a shameful way to treat the dead..."

Kuublu looks at the clay jar, inspecting it at a distance....
