Kuublu looks to Chiemeka. "My friend, I think it would be best if you could provide your donkey, that way, the sooner we notify the capital, the sooner they can send the army to secure these areas. We might be able to release prisoners, but what we need are soldiers and sappers to fortify in case they retaliate."

"Perhaps you should salvage what food you can find, travel to the next village and warn them. Until we have more warriors it will be difficult to reside, though I doubt they would attack the same place twice."

The older man loaded up the rest of the boys on the cart and twitched his stick over the elands head, " Good Luck in there!", he called over his shoulder as he headed down the trade road.

Kuublu makes a brief search for food, assuming that it was not a priority for the chicken beasts to destroy every last piece of food. After the party has collected food and refilled their skins and... if there aren't too many bodies Kuublu will lay them out for a 'sky burial' or 'scavenger burial' and then get ready to set off. If it takes too much daylight, he'll just ask the peasants to do it while they set off. Can't spare more than an hour.

Kuublu manages to collect some not too badly scorched bags of sorghum and some yams and dried strips of meat from the ruins, the well yields drinkable if somewhat cloudy water. There are only the two bodies in the ruins of the village, both are now a little blackened and carbonised by the flames.

Everyone else has moved on, the three are there alone for now until more travellers happen along the trade road.
