Kuublu opens the door and follows....

The next room opened is a small chamber bare of adornment except for a silver crescent-moon motif on the western wall. An inspection of the chamber reveals nothing else.

Moving on the companions turn the corner and reach a large mahogany portal at the end of the
passage, strangely the wood seems newly polished and untouched by the passage of time and once they have determined it is safe they swing it open.

Beyond lies a large vaulted chamber full of ritual paraphernalia— iron and silver skull topped sceptres, silver masks in the form of snarling gorilla faces, silver bells, collapsed mahogany and leather drums, rotted cotton vestments. In the crumbling racks that once lined the walls you find a few silver scroll-cases.

Another mahogany door lies in the north wall.

"Where there are scrollcases, are there scrolls?"

Chastu doesn't read, so perhaps one of the learned companions would be able to help.

Chastu does recognise gorillas though, so he picks up a mask to inspect it, turning it around in his hands.

Chimeka will look through the scroll cases to see if any scrolls have survived inside.

Ikanso looks around and then casts perception of sorcery to detect any magic or residue of magic in the room.

The mask is somewhat tarnished but seems well made and as if it would easily fit over his own head and face.

There is a very faint echo of faded magic over most of the items here....but it is barely perceptible. Perhaps the spells upon them have faded with time?

Chiemeka unseals on of the scroll case and catches the barest glimpse of a delicate sketch of a woman plunging a spear into an obscured scaled form before the delicate paper within crumbles to dust.

If a silver bell is serviceable Kuublu will get one. Wonder how a leader drum would survive, maybe some people came back recently and put them there....

Marking silver bell on sheet

OOC: They didn't. " collapsed mahogany and leather drums".

The bell still functions...though not well..
