Lucky turns smoothly to the next black-clad warrior and jabs at him. He wants to get the underlings out of the way before worrying about the snake-tongued fiend or the giant abomination. Lucky stabs and wounds the black-clad man.
Laila immediately turned to her other opponent, " Do you want to run?", she said as her eyes led him to his fallen companion. He didn’t, though mayhap he regretted that as the warrior’s seax bit into his armflesh.
Corvin presses his attack feinting high and low before dealing Jharak a vicious backhanded slash attempting to open his throat.
“I’m going to gut you like a fish!” Corvin goads Jharak hoping to throw him off balance. “Your mother dines on fish-guts!” spat Jharak as he lunged at Corvin, leaving him wide open for the slash to his throat. Jharak went down, thrashing around as his lifeblood spurted out..
Calder bashed at his opponent, hacking away, but to no avail. Bretwald attempted to thump him too but no luck. Godric loosed an arrow into combat, but that went awry. As Serpent-Tongue rushes to Sten , the knight swings his sword low, hopefully lopping off the lower part of his leg. He doesn’t but the blow lands heavy and proves the final straw for the greenmouthed maniac. “Ah. My lady in darkness. I have failed you. Perhaps the next servant will not be so lowly…”
He sinks to the ground, wheezing. “My lady may find you to be a true servant, Red-Beard. Oh, such sport we could…” he reaches for Sten, but the effort proves too much. He shakes, and is still.
Lucky’s opponent strikes at him, missing, as does Laila’s foe. Calder’s assailant fails to land a blow.
The Murderling draws ever nearer. Slowly.
