Dragon Warriors

Seeing that the warriors and the rug somehow are connected but also realising that a staff might not be the best tool for the destruction of a rug, Drystan tries to hit one of the warriors.

The companions take increasingly wlld blows at both the tapestry and the warriors.

The wild blows hitting the tapestry and Sten knock him off it, his clawing at the tapestry this time proves fruitless.

The warriors advance, but they seem to be drawing from the same well of luck as the party, and their blows come to naught.

Sten gets to his feet readying the sword retrieved from serpent and his shield

”Shield wall!” shouts Corvin as he moves to support Sten. He plainly has little idea how to implement his instruction.

Corbin lashes out with his sword at the nearest tapestry warrior hopefully cutting it in half.Attk roll 5 hits DEF 8, ABR 4 for 3HP damage. No shield success (4).

Lucky moves next to Corvin, shield up, and stabs at the nearest tapestry warrior.

Master Corvin lands a strong blow on his opponent, who folds and crumples to the ground, all animation gone.

Lucky follows with his stout stab and pierces a warrior who collapses to the ground like leaves in Autumn.

Sten takes to his feet readying his serpent-sword and shield.

Drystan and Bedwere swipe at one of the two remaining foes but miss, as does Calder.

Bretwald shouts loudly ‘Set the tapestry to flame! Burn the warriors!’

His advice isn’t needed though as Laila rips at the tapestry with her seax. Tearing through it, a loud rip is audible, and with that, the two remaining warriors shrivel and collapse.

The companions breath heavily after their exertions. The light from Bretwald’s lantern bobs around, and dark shadows flit across the walls.

Sten looks at Lucky with a look of total confusion "I have never done magic before" he whispers

"I guess I'll have to call you 'Sten the Magnificent' from now on!"
Lucky idly prods the ripped tapestry with his spear and wonders what kind of miracle will try to kill the group next.

Bretwald silently wonders what miracle Sten will try to sit on next.

The passageway lies darkly ahead of you all, and off to one side lies the antechamber with the chest that drew Calder's attention.
