Inspired by Damian May's excellent campaign(s) - yes, I read them - I finally got around to drawing a basic map of Ferromaine for my own use. Anyone who finds it useful is free to use it if they wish.

That's a really nice map. Thanks for sharing it!

I am going to have to send a group to Ferromaine, now.

As a member of the Colombo family, I can confirm that my dear brother Antonio is both trustworthy and one of the more useful people to know in Ferromaine, and that any scandalous rumors of any underworld connections or heretical beliefs are entirely unfounded.

Yours sincerely,
Signorina Maria de Colombo

I'm sure Sir Hadric of Swanley knew what he was doing when he recommended his son, along with his retinue, to your care. I'm sure Antonio won't at all be in a hurry to see them on their way...

Thanks. Blatantly copied from Venice, of course... But I think that's what Dave Morris had in mind when he described Ferromaine - with a touch of San Gimignano.

A big city, with so many possibilities...
(I take commissions from the Ferromaine Tourist Board)

Funny, I never explicitly made the connection between Ferromaine and Venice...seems pretty obvious now but I had just been thinking of a generic Mediterranean city.

edit: and, just like that, I'm now of the 2nd Rank :D
Only took me 4 years and 3 months!

Venice for the setting, but San Gimignano for the towers. ;)
