Kuublu inaudibly speaks "Good work." before moving on.
He tries to reassure the prisoners with an open hand gesture and indicating his gratitude with a solemn nod.

I assume we're securing the guards and leaving them behind, rather than taking a 'chain gang' with us?
After confirming that the two prisoners are secure but not too roughly handled by Pulgil and Mthunzi, Chiemeka follows the others, trying to match Kuublu's path as closely as possible.
The prisoners were tied up back to back and gagged with Kuublus rope and placed under the semi-watchful eyes of the old watchman and his parrot.
The group continued on through the town Kgosi Olmar, Chiemeka and the two elderly warriors split off to meet with Ngela and the old cook.
The others, with Mthunzi scouting the way, headed towards the longhouse.
About halfway there, Mthunzi noted two mercenaries on patrol, he stepped back into the shadows but by pure chance one of the men met his eyes as he did so. Mthunzi knew the others were too far behind to have been seen as well.
" You there. Come here."
