I ended up drawing a basic map of the place (which is in another thread). It might be of use, if no-one else has done anything better?

Your basic is far better than the best of mine. Give us a link, if you will.

Not forgetting what Dave Morris wrote:

"There is an ancient custom that permeates the True Faith in Ferromaine that no priest who ministers to the living may attend to the rituals of the dead. This has led to the existence of the Order of the Office of the Dead, colloquially known as Requiem Priests; a property rich order, active in business, arrogant, and with a reputation of getting their own way."

Here we go...

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1d2A ... sp=sharing

I've put it up as comment only, and will open up as people request access.

I've made a folder on the Google Drive for Countries of Legend.

One detail that might be worth noting: the city of Ferromaine is ruled by a Dyuch, not a Doge.

DW6, pg.39:
"The Dyuch is the chief magistrate of the Ferromaine Republic – a very influential position. Technically he is supposed to relinquish all business concerns to ensure his decisions are impartial. In practice, he quickly becomes rich and fat on 'inducements' (bribes) paid to him by various factions. His term of office is seven years, but it is rare for a Dyuch not to be re-elected."
And
"Sun sparkles off the harbour, bathes the pale stone of the Dyuch's palace in a soft gold glow, glitters back in rainbow shards from magnificent stained-glass windows."
