"Was that but a dream?"

Kuublu checks his gear.

OOC: Still has a skin problem right?

Indeed for a moment Kuublu thinks that was all it was as he looks at his flesh, no longer stony and dense but back to dark shining muscle.

But the ancient weapon in his grasp belies that, and he knows it was no dream.

OOC: Nup. All back to normal.

"We have survived the trials set before us! Queen Ndar and Nyami have shared their wisdom and tested our courage. What we have to say may not be believed but we carry symbols of their trust! Let us return to the village to celebrate, if not to share such stories. Perhaps a suitable story teller would be happy to immortalize our memory of this!"

OOC: Lets head back and get wasted.

"Well said, your Highness. Let us eat and drink together, and hope that we will not need my healing powers in the morning!"

The companions walked back along the shoreline and eventually out of the forest, untroubled by lions or more....unusual denizens....., they made their way across the rough country making camp for a short rest once and then back towards the trade road before heading down the path to Xbri.

Coming up upon Xbri they are greeted by the village children and Etwa is welcomed back with both happiness and not a little surprise that the old one has survived the journey.

Malim hobbled out of Edo's hut with a pleading look on his face even as the old one followed him with yet another tale of his youth.

A feast was called for and a celebration was held that night to celebrate and hear Etwas tale, many of the men came forward and remarked on the beautiful objects that had been recovered and all the village sat in awe as Etwa recounted the tale about the bonfire. The companions feasted on goat and yams and other vegetables late into the night before retiring back to the accomodation that had now been provided in the hut next to Etwa.

Malim asked how much longer he must bear Edo's company but the healer Old Beli tutted and said he must rest a few more days yet.

OOC: Feel free to put yourselves up to the next Rank.

Kuublu is glad to have experienced such an adventure. And that everyone is intact. He still has to maintain his noble bearing, but he will relax a little and indulge a little...

Travelling along the route on his ass, Uruka decides to look for a village to settle down before night fall. The past few days have been mundane for him as he searched for wrongs to right or any form of adventure. Spotting a village and sounds of revelry in the distance, Uruka decides to approach it.

Entering the village, he spots a large bonfire surrounded by people who looked powerful and tough. He decides to approach and ask if he could join.

"Hail friends, any room for a tired man to have some food and drinks?' he ventured.

Kuublu will welcome the visitor, being the royal representative guy. He welcomes the stranger.

"Kuublu, prince and descendant of Third King Djimon Oublu greets you! How fortunate that you arrive during such prosperous times!"

Kuublu has a noble bearing, his head lifted high and his gaze steady and attentive.

Hail, mighty prince! I am Uruka, a scion of the wisemen of a clan on the River," Uruka says humbly, rendering the necessary salutes. He informs the prince of his purpose in the village, mainly looking for some food and drink after a few days of walking.

"Recent days we have seen much to celebrate! There is food and abundance for all!"

Kuublu's eye is briefly catched by some comely village girl.

"I am travelling to meet my father and submit a report. It just so happens that we have touched the past, perhaps you might not believe what has come about, but such was the stories that were spoken of, and new tales that will be spoken of."

Kuublu introduces the party, giving the short introductions for non-nobility.
