Please feel free to introduce yourselves here.

For RP purposes, this takes place before Bretwald takes you off to share some cog-wine.

I'm using this as a quick ready reckon to remind who is what.

So far:

Sten the Bear (Joshua)

Laila Selbæk Rønning (Damian)

Bohemond (JP)

Godric (Jimbo)

Maitland "Lucky" Sawyer (flowers4zombies)

Calder of the Mask (Peter)

Laila Selbæk Rønning, former Mercanian Wool Merchant.

https://i.imgur.com/rcuUddh.jpg

Laila is in her mid twenties and slightly built, with sun tanned skin and close cropped red hair and green eyes. She hails originally from Tananger in southern Mercania where her family owns a large number of wool mills. Coming to Ellesland two years prior on a trade mission she managed to establish a number of trade agreements in Clyster and Braying Cross but did not sail home with the rest of her party but struck out to see more of this strange new land.

She has mostly been getting by as a wagon hand and the like throughout northern Albion and has recently fallen in with a rather eclectic group of outsiders and oddballs.....

Sten reminds her of her older brother, Steinar, in both build and mannerisms and she finds herself regarding him as such more and more.

Maitland she is slightly more leery of, not because of his disfigurement.....her uncle back in Mercania lost most of his face to a jarv one winter....but there is a darkness that hangs about him that keeps her from embracing him as brother as she has Sten.

Bohemond she's just met but he's not the worst servant of the Hanged God she's met.

Sten, on behalf of Joshua

Sten is a very big man and pretty clumsy (like a bull in a china shop). Standing close to 6'8" and weighing some 300 lbs with a thick bushy beard and shaggy black hair. He's a thickset man, barrel chested, with tree trunks for legs, and it's easy to see where he gets the nickname 'Bear'. He wears piecemeal plate armour and carries a heavy looking sword and a well used shield. He has a bow and a quiver of arrows over his shoulder.

Sten is as clumsy as he is big and worries about accidentally hurting small children, or women.

Sten is originally from Saxton - his parents are menials there and Sten was part of the town guard before heading off to the crusades

Maitland "Lucky" Sawyer is tall, but he hunches over as if trying to fade into the background. He wears a cloth lepers mask but speaks with a beautiful voice. He talks with the confidence of someone who was once popular, but is scarred from surviving a horrible plague - if you were to peek under the mask you'd discover his nose has rotted off. He wears an odd mix-match of Elleslandic and Ta'ashim armour, having scavenged it from dead men on crusade.

You can see he trusts and respects Sten the Bear - they met in Ibrahim. He introduces himself as Lucky with a sarcastic chuckle. He puts on a cheerful front, but you can tell there's a darkness underneath, a sense of self-loathing, and hates for people to see any part of his body, especially his face.

Bohemond is a man that blends into crowd: He's average height, a tad on the chubby side, with bushy brown hair, a goatee, with the long brown robes of a priest. He has been serving as second to the village priest, Bretwald for a few months now.

He is someone of manner but is fairly quiet. He remains evasive about his origins merely saying he is "from the North" and then changing the subject.

'Calder of the mask' is a rather muscular yet lithe man with a pockmarked face. A severe bout of chicken pox when he was young marred his face due to the lack of funds on his family's part to treat the disease. The same illness also seemed to have addled his brains, causing him to be rather simple and dim, taking a longer time to process conversations.

Due to the scars on his face, he wears a cloth mask over his lower face to reduce the effects of his hideous oils on people. One will not have noticed him if not for his rather noble bearing. However, his line of nobility has been displaced following a political dispute with some enemies during the time of his grandfather. However, his grandfather has continued to teach his son and his son, the grandson in the ways of the warrior, hoping that one day, someone down the line will restore the family honor. His plate armour, shield and sword are handed down to him by his dad and though they are old, are well maintained.

Despite his situation, Calder tries to be polite and nice to everyone, if only to have more friends and fewer foes.

Corvin Rath. Scribe, scholar & swordsman.

Corvin is of middling height, lean but strong and agile. Taking after his Cornumbrian mother his skin is pale and sallow, his eyes and hair dark. His features are a little too sharp and cruel to be handsome. His eyes are clever but insolent. Corvin dresses as a simple travelling scholar and scribe, but he keeps a well worn short sword at his side. He nominally observes the requirements of the True Faith but holds to the core belief that God or the gods help those who help themselves!

Corvin was born within a few miles of the castle of Earl Montombre, to an Albish father and a Cornumbrian mother. His shock of black hair and being the 3rd son allowed his mother to get away with naming him “little crow”. In adulthood he has rejected his father’s plan that he join the Elfin Earls’s court to keep the Earl’s scrolls and dispensed with his father’s name of Reed and goes by his mother’s name Rath.

His Father, Otho Reed is one of the Elfin Earl’s reeves, with particular focus on taxes and dues. Corvin’s razor sharp intellect and prodigious memory saw him destined to join Montombre’s household as a clerk but the young lad rankled against the boring and unimaginative work and life of his sire and older brothers. Although his father is a well respected man giving Corvin’s family a comfortable lifestyle, even as a boy he hated having to doff his cap and bend the knee for stupid and boorish knights, gentry and nobility whom he felt had not an ounce of his talent but simply the luck to have high-born parents.

So with just his inks, quills and scrolls, the clothes on his back, his grandfather’s sword, insatiable curiosity and a thirst for knowledge and adventure he has set forth to make his name in the North.

Maximus (Max) Codan spent much of his youth aboard The ‘Star of Opalar’, the merchant vessel owned by his father on her voyages, sailing from Cantorbridge in South West Albion.

Adulthood however has seen him travelling the length and breadth of Ellesland, and sometimes beyond as a messenger, scout and courier.

Slightly under six feet in height Max possesses blonde/brown hair, tanned skin, blue eyes and a light stubble. Despite being of only average appearance Max is physically fit and possesses a healthy glow. His eyes project a quiet confidence and an easy smile is quick on his lips.

Max’s preferred attire is a soft brown leather jerkin and dark green travelling cloak when on the road - his clothes are both durable and versatile. On his back he carries a curved sabre, and on his belt a primed crossbow.
