Dragon Warriors :: View topic - King under the Forest

As Laila moves nearer to the source, the tunnel widens until she find herself within a small hollow.

The 'room' as it could loosely be called, looks as if people have been living in it, with a musty pallet of rushes and an assortment of rough dirty plates strewn around.

The room itself looks like it's been dug out – really it's just a hole beneath the ground.

The only entrance to the chamber (there, I've got a different word) is the one Laila has crawled through. There won't be enough space for her to stand fully upright.

At the rear of the chamber is a small shape, perhaps a little bigger than Egg. Its snorts and cries are not as steady now, as it appears to have found something funny. Perhaps bacon.

Laila can't see its face, as it's hunched against the wall, its hands cover its face.

OOC - I wouldn't want to get in a scrape with a wombat.

Laila crawls into the crevice, her lantern before her. The crawl goes on for some distance – she thinks to herself that it's lucky it's only her going in, as the 'passage' grows tighter. Perhaps 50M into the crawl, she sees that the passage seems to be getting wider. She gets the feeling of a chamber ahead, and hears a snivelling continuous snort.

GM interrupt.. Just to be clear. None of you can see what is happening in the dark depths, save Laila. Bwah hah hah. So until she returns and tells you what doth transpire, this is a GM and Damian thread. Waits at the entrance, not sure what to do.

Laila squeezed her hand down her side and grabbed her seax, crawling forward lantern in one hand and weapon in the other and trying not to panic as the passage narrowed. " Hello?", she said in answer when she heard the sound.....even a badger would be a danger in these confines.

The sound seemed to stop for a moment, maybe in shock, but soon continued. Interspersed amongst the grizzling Laila hears the word 'Egg' repeated. OOC - I would say especially a badger. Have you seen the size of the b@stards?

OOC- still not as aggro as US badgers, wombats are more chill they just crush you against the roof of the burrow with their armoured arses.

The creature takes its hands away from its face. Creature is what you see, you can tell from its oversized ears and large broad mouth that this is not an ordinary child. 'The dogs are gone, you say?' it asks you in a thin reedy voice.
