You're nigh at Saxton. You can see the village ahead, and lights being lit, as darkness starts to descend.

As best he can in the faded light Corvin tries to gauge the village’s size, fortifications and defensibility, mindful of Sten’s earlier commentary about his home and its militia.

Looking at his companions with a smirk he says “So are we sleeping rough again or will we seek soft beds and warm food this time?”

Sten is looking to see if he recognizes those on the gate as they approach
"Don't think we will be doing much sleeping in a few hours we have to head into Fenring forest."

Calder is happy to have arrived at the town. He stands at the gate ready to enter.

“Where is the best inn in town?” Corvin asks Sten.

"Hahaha! Best inn or only Inn, Corvin? One feels your hopes may be a little high.. Fenrings Retreat is the only inn in the village. You could do worse. It's warm and dry, the food is.. edible and the ale only slightly watered down."

Godric guffaws. "Watered down with what? I've known ale to taste as if it had come straight from a horses' pizzle..."

Bretwald looks aghast at the thought. "Whatever it may taste like, I'd not overindulge. We start for the Tomb tomorrow, and it would be best to do so with clear heads."
