Calder steps up to help with clearing the obstacles. He asks the priest for a spade

Bretwald gratefully gives Calder a spade, appreciating the help in clearing the door.

Lucky picks up a spade (or other implement if no more are available) and goes to work digging.

Handwave interval time....

Bretwald leans on his spade, resting at last. "We're done. Vallandr's Tomb lies before us."

The entrance lies before you, clear from the hard work that you've done over the morning. The vast stone doors are ready to be opened. Who will push them open?

Corvin straightens his back with a groan, hands the shovel back to Father Bretwald and dusts of his hands fastidiously.

Turning to the group he says ”Very good. Well done all. Are we ready to go or does anyone want to rest up some more? Before we proceed we should plan our order of procession. We know not what dangers may face us within the tomb. May I suggest you hold a lantern for us good Father? How about a couple of our brave knights head on in first, then the good Father and I will follow along with our new companions and perhaps our esteemed Mercanian merchant might guard the rear with another lantern?”

Corvin glances about with the look of someone who has just issued an order rather than asked a question...

Laila naps after her watch, she's not afraid of hard work but she doesn't have the frame for toting stones or digging packed earth.....a little mad murdering is more her speed.

Sten joins in the digging but removed his armour first and toiled away in his leggings. "Lucky would you help me get this back on it is good for fighting but I hate wearing it constantly"

The priest nods. "That seems prudent, Master Corvin. Shall we attend to the matter at hand?"

He points to the cleared portal. "Namely, those doors."

"Good call Master Corvin," Calder says, flexing his tired muscles and drinking some water from his water canteen.

He continues, volunteering his services," Calder takes front! Good armour! Strong arm!"

Laila woke up to the pleasant view of Stens back muscles and remained watching for some time before rising...

" Right, Priests and scholars in the centre. Hard folks on both ends."

" Lead on! Two abreast.", she said waggling her eyebrows at the last phrasing.
