Lucky manages to give the impression of both standing firm and trying to get away as he frantically shakes his head.

Hmm maybe you can shed some light on the Lucky mystery.
Lucky was a full grown man then he got turned to stone and a tapping sound came from inside the stone flesh we broke the um I guess shell and out pops mini Lucky .....I mean how does this happen?

Laila frowned, " Will you take me in his place?"

She'd always rather liked the sound of Ljósálfheimr in the old tales.....true one could never return.....but maybe she wouldn't want to?

”Well, it may well be that Lucky will have a better life with the fey than as some sort of oddity for gawkers at a fair? Errrrr Lord of the Woods, will your people take care of our little fellow?”

The elflord frowns. "Take you in his place? I say nay to you, maid of men. You were not born in this forest. That which has been born here must return to its earth. Such is the way of things."

"We will take the utmost of care..."

”Ah well yes. Most gracious and generous my Lord of the Forest.”

Turning to his companions Corvin continues “I think that settles it don’t you? No point in all of us dying here if they promise to look after Lucky well. What do you say hmmm?”

Turning back to the Elf Lord Corvin tries one last time ”Ahhhh, um just a point of order my Lord, errr I don’t suppose there’s anything else we might give you or perhaps some service we might perform in the world beyond the Forest which might take the place of our diminutive companion remaining in your care?”

" As you wish."

" Ah........hmmmm.....we may have another to deliver into your care as well. One that goes by the name of Roger....."

" He is also.....I believe.....at least partially of your folk..."

The elflord gestures. "This. This is not of my folk. I can see that this other that you mention would likewise not be so. Would you call the cattle that you men herd your family? Would you call the crops that you harvest your sons>"

"If you wish to leave here with this, there will be a price to pay. Hmmm.."

" What is the price?", she said as she looked at Lucky with slight whistfullness.
