Hey Heroes!

I assume that everybody here is au-fait with how to roll up a standard Fighting Fantasy Character.

Skill, Stamina and Luck all the way..

Start with the adventure from the original Tiger Man covered book, or roll straight into the Riddling Reaver?

I'm happy doing the ones from the first book, but won't be sad if we didn't play them. I'd prefer to get stuck in with the Riddling Reaver but fine either way.

Are we using just the rules from these two books? Or the advanced rules? If we use aff, we'll need to make sure everyone's got those rules.

Just the first two books. I don't have AFF. Shocker.

My suggestion would be to have a crack at The Wishing Well so that we get into a working rhythm as a group before tackling the most diabolical Reaver….

That said, I’m also happy to dive straight in.

I’ll get splinters if I spend too much time on the fence.

Some quick questions:

What are the rules around dice rolling for character creation? Would you want us to do the dicey wicey thing on Discord? Would you let us re-roll if the numbers are Reeeeally bad?

Are you giving us any leeway in terms of character customisation? As we’re going for the relatively basic process of Skill, Stamina and Luck I’m guessing not really but I wanted to check nonetheless.

Ps thanks for running this!

I run on the honour system. Roll your dice where you like.

Yes. One of either Skill, Stamina, or Fortune.

I may need a reminder. I've played mostly AFF 2nd Ed for the last few years and it has kinda overwritten earlier stuff.

1d6 + 6 for SKILL and LUCK, 2d6 + 12 for STAMINA

Equipment:
  • A Sword
  • A backpack
  • A lantern
  • Provisions
  • One Potion of either Skill, Stamina, or Fortune

Simon needs to tell us how many Provisions, and we don't get any starting gold, armour, or choice of weapons.
