Cold Fury has been released for sale in PDF and dead tree form. This contains most of what was in In From The Cold except for one adventure where Copyright issues prevented its rerelease - so all the other adventures, the Demonology rules. In place of the 'missing adventure', Damian May and Jon Reed's Fury of the Deep adventure is included.

If you already have In From The Cold and Fury of the Deep, I don't think there's any new material here - but for those who missed In From The Cold, it's a chance to get most of what you missed.

Never before has hope triumphed so magnificently over experience :)

The only official information is this post from SKG back in March:

http://serpentking.com/?p=358

SKG has culled the demonology rules (23 pages) and Key of Tirandor (27 pages) from In from the Cold (112 pages) and replaced it with Fury of the Deep (54 pages), so whilst SKG has not published the contents of Cold Fury, the length (117 pages) would support what they say in their blog post. This makes it just a book of adventures now, akin to Sleeping Gods, and you will still need to have the Players' Guide to get the demonology rules.

It is disappointing that there's no PDF available, no short preview of the contents page or the contents in the item description, no notification on SKG's blog, and not even "Dragon Warriors" mentioned in the description to help people find this. The fact that Cold Fury only costs £3.44 more in softcover than Fury of the Deep costs as a PDF is nice, tho, and I presume the PDF will be priced similarly to Sleeping Gods when it finally does come out.

So, whilst welcome, it is just another rehashing of old material. Time for something new, perhaps?

Those are some curious marketing decisions by SK, but if info from March is correct then this looks like a good book for those who don't have In From The Cold and Fury from the Deep; Demonology fits better in the Player's Guide anyway and the Key of Tirandor is (IMHO) a pile of poop.

Cheers,

-Kyle

I don't see an option for PDF purchase, just a print on demand version?

I am fairly sure there will be a PDF version - the book has not officially been announced yet as released.

I'm now dealing with DriveThruRPG myself, selling a few little things and offering PoD turns out to be quite complicated with limited control over precisely when a PoD title will become available. Making sure it becomes available at the same time as a PDF is not as straightforward as you would think and as SK is a small operation and very busy with other things as well, my guess is they just haven't found the time yet to get the PDF up as well. There was also a gap when the Players Guide was released.
