In replying to another topic regarding In From the Cold, I was reminded of a line from IFTC, "... being able to bind the beings of the abyss potentially gives a character enormous power, and some people have asked what PCs can do to counter that directly. We look forward to answering that question in the near future."

Whilst that line is suspiciously absent from SKG's treatment on demonologists (in the Players' Guide), I wonder if anyone knows what notes Mongoose might have had to steer them towards a publication that might have answered the question, "what can PCs do against demonologists?"

It's been nearly two years since the release of the Reeve's Tale with nary a hint of any future publication coming from them, so I'm not expecting content from SKG on this, but I'm assuming there must have been some draft outline or idea knocking around someone's dusty office somewhere for Mongoose to have included this tantalising phrase in In From The Cold.

Not sure what the intended official reason was, but its always fun for the church to offer high rewards to freelance ghostbusters to head into the meat grinder. They don't need to pay until the losers actually survive their mission. And even if they depleted their budget, they can always offer compliments, free blessings, church pr services and make it hard for the freelancers to collect.
